Giudecca
Island: Giudecca is only a short gondola ride
from San Marco and in the 18th century was
Venice’s “garden
of delights”.
Alongside noble residences (such as Palazzo Vendramin,
Palazzo Dandolo, Palazzo Barbaro Nani) there were
modest “pavilions” for shorter stays, called “casini”.
Today the Giudecca is much changed, but some of the
gardens
which were the favourite summer retreats of the Venetian
noble families still exist.
There were convents (such as Zitelle and le Convertite),
Academies, like the Academy of Philosophy, the Convito dei
Nobili and, above all, parks, orchards and vineyards where
the city dwellers, normally confined to narrow alleys and
small courtyards, could enjoy fresh air and open spaces,
as
well as the then famous “vin salso”, called in this way
because of its characteristic salty after-taste, due to
the
vicinity of the lagoon.
Famous amongst the sites of interest on the Giudecca are;
Palladio's Church of Redentore, built in thanksgiving for
the end of the plague in the 16th Century and the centre
of
the annual Redentore Feast Day; and the Church if Santa
Maria della Presentazione on the Zitelle.
The Hotel:
The Hotel Cipriani, created to provide the very best of
Venetian hospitality, incorporates the most luxurious
accommodation, the most attentive service and the finest
cuisine in an atmosphere of calm and seclusion.

STANDARD ROOM:
Standard rooms are beautifully appointed with a king, or
twin beds, overlooking the Hotel's Casanova gardens, some
with private balcony, and are approximately 17 square
metres in size
SUPERIOR ROOMS:
Superior Rooms are beautifully appointed with a king, or
twin beds, overlooking the Hotel gardens or lagoon
(assigned on arrival), some with private balcony and
jacuzzi, and are approximately 22 square meters in
size
DELUXE ROOMS:
Deluxe rooms are elegantly decorated with a king or twin
beds, overlooking the Hotel gardens, or lagoon (assigned
on
arrival) some include private balcony and jacuzzi, and are
approximately 25 square metres in size

JUNIOR SUITES:
The Hotel has 27 Superior and Deluxe Junior suites with
king or twin beds, overlooking the gardens, pool area or
lagoon, (assigned on arrival) some with private balcony
and
jacuzzi, and range in size from approximately 33 to 35
square metre
SUITES:
The Hotel has 13 Standard, Superior and Deluxe one bedroom
suites with king or twin beds, overlooking the lagoon or
the gardens, (assigned on arrival) some with balcony and
jacuzzi, and ranging in size from approximately 37 to 85
square metres
PALLADIO SUITE:
The magnificent Palladio suite recreates the fairy tale
that is Venice in a magical space spun out of light,
transparent crystal and pure air
Swimming
Pool: Our Olympic size pool (32 x 19 metres) is
the only one in central Venice, and has filtered salt
water.
In Spring and Autumn it is kept heated to a constant
temperature of 26°C to 28°C (78°F).
The pool is open from 9 am to 7 pm. No bathing is
permitted before 9 am while the cleaning machine is in
operation (380 volts).
Children under 8 years of age are allowed in the
pool area only if under surveillance of their parents and
if they behave properly, as it is epxected that they be
respectful of the other clients well being.
In the afternoon, children can find an ideal play
ground in the Casanova gardens of the hotel, where a baby
sitter can be put at their disposal (on request).
The pool area is also the centre of attention for
some spectacular events at the Cipriani, like the
Redentore
Feast held in July each year.
An evening of dining and entertainment around the
pool ends with the spectacular firework display that can
be
viewed from the Fondamenta delle Zitelle.
Health and
Beauty: Within the pool area there are:
- the Hydrosystem
- a Finnish sauna
- a steam cabinet (Turkish Bath)
- "Relax" beds
- Solar sundeck with UV-A rays, infrared lamps
Skilled masseurs are at your disposal.
Beauty Parlour: This is located near the pool and
provides ladies and gentleman's hairdressing, beautician,
manicures etc...
Golf - Alberoni, Lido, Venice: During the months of
March, April and October every morning at 9:30 am our
private launch leaves for the Golf Course Alberoni (40
minutes).
This service is for guests who have previously booked our
special programme - Golf at the Cipriani. The return is
foreseen at about 4 pm. This service does not operate on
Sundays and Mondays.
Concierge:
Our concierges are at your service for general and
sightseeing information, and linguistic assistance.
They are delighted to arrange baby-sitter and hairdresser
services, travel arrangements, airport transfers, shopping
and leisure advice, restaurant reservations as well as
tennis court bookings, sending mail or flowers, in fact,
just about anything.
Docking
Pier:
Our harbour has docking facilities for yachts and boat up
to 70 feet (draught 10 feet).
The Cip's pier on Fodamenta delle Zitelle has docking
facilities for three motor launches, and four berths in
front of the Granaries building for boats up to 90 feet
(draft 20 feet).
Tennis: Our
red clay tennis court, the only one in central Venice, is
situated in the beautiful Venetian garden of the hotel, on
the edge of the lagoon.
It is at your disposal from 8 am to 8 pm at a cost of €29
per hour. Lessons are available upon request, with a
professional instructor.
Bar and snack service can be arranged from a telephone
located on the court and locker rooms and showers are
available in the swimming pool area. Tennis raquets,
balls, tennis shoes and shirts may be purchased in the
hotel boutique.
Restaurants:
CIPRIANI RESTAURANT:
Mesmerising domes and allusive arches, delicately blown
glass, precious fabrics and amber-coloured mirrors, create
the perfect setting for a relaxed candlelit
dinner
TERRACE RESTAUTANT:
The Terrace Restaurant, surrounded by flowers and
fountains, is a serene getaway from urban
stress
CIP's CLUB:
Located on the Fondamenta delle Zitelle with the most
beautiful views across the lagoon to St Mark's Square is
Cip's Club Restaurant. Its service and food is refined but
casual, and very Venetian
POOLSIDE RESTAURANT:
The informal Poolside Restaurant offering the famous
Cipriani Hors d'Oeuvres from the buffet is open for lunch
and snacks
POOL SNACK BAR:
The pool snack bar serves light snacks and drinks to
guests
in the pool area, overlooking the
lagoon
